ALL COACHES AND MANAGERS MUST REGISTER EACH SEASON

BACKGROUND CHECK, SAFESPORT, & CONCUSSION TRAINING MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU CAN BE ADDED TO A TEAM

          •    Registration – All adults (18 years and older) who have contact with USC players during practice, games or other team activities must register with USC each season and pass a background check annually. This includes parents helping out at practice and/or games. A parent who is helping the team can register as a team manager.
        •    Required Training – Before you can be placed as a Coach or Manager on your team, you must complete SafeSport and Concussion training and pass a background check.           •    Mandatory Coaches Meeting – Before each season, USC hosts a Coaches Meeting that is Mandatory for all coaches to attend.

1. A heat index chart will be made available on the USC website in sections that team leaders will be able to access easily (http://www.weather.gov/media/unr/heatindex.pdf)


2. USC will follow the Heat Index playing modifications outlined below:

3. USC Board of Directors and facility managers will be charged with monitoring weather conditions, and sending out alerts as conditions dictate.


4. USC’s coach education program will include training for coaches to assist them in identifying the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.


5. Club administrators and tournament officials will be responsible for monitoring the heat index during league and tournament play, and communicating information regarding modifications for heat index.
